To help you explore all that MIT has to offer we've partnered with a few of our many communities so that you can start to find your home here. These programs are not a substitute for CPW, but an additional opportunity to learn more about MIT. CPW will provide the “firehose” of the 400+ student groups, communities, and athletic experiences that MIT has to offer. There are too many for us to host individual programs for all of them—these are but a few.
Free to participate: Sin LiMITe and Ebony Affair!
We are pleased to share that both Ebony Affair and Sin LiMITe are free of cost to participants residing in the continental United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. MIT will cover the cost of travel to and from campus, as well as food and lodging (with a current student) during the program. We require you to book your transportation through our travel agents and details are provided on each program’s registration page in your portal.
Please note: Interested students may only attend one program—Sin LiMITe or Ebony Affair. Students are not able to attend both programs.
Ebony Affair: April 11–13
Ebony Affair, co-sponsored by the Black Students’ Union and the admissions office, is a unique opportunity to get to know the Black community at MIT. There will be casual spaces to interact with fellow adMITs and current students, as well as opportunities to engage with Black faculty, alumni, and graduate students. The weekend is about building connection and satisfying your curiosity about the Black experience at MIT, culminating in a night of celebration at the 50th annual Ebony Affair gala! This semi-formal event is filled with incredible performances, delicious food, and a joyous celebration of MIT's Black community.

Sin LiMITe: April 11–13
Sin LiMITe is designed for adMITs interested in learning more about the LatinX community at MIT. The program is co-sponsored by the Latino Cultural Center (LCC) and the admissions office. You will meet current students and faculty, and learn about academics, leadership opportunities, campus resources, and support systems at MIT. The program also includes Gala Sabrosura—the LCC’s semi-formal event that concludes Mes Latino each year. Students stay in residence halls with a current student and get a firsthand sense of residential life beyond CPW.

Overnight Program (ONP)
ONP is for adMITs who are not able to attend CPW but still want to experience things firsthand. You’ll get to explore campus, stay for one night with a current student, and sit in on classes too! Gain access to the ONP reg form by clicking "Register for CPW" in your portal and answer "no" to the question about attending CPW. Once you submit the CPW form the ONP tab will appear in your portal.
If you received a travel grant to CPW, you may use it for ONP. Please follow the travel requirements on the registration page. If you feel you should have received a travel grant, please email flyin@mit.edu, requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
